The FORTITUDE project aims to improve the cultural and tourist offer in cities with established heritage in the cross-border area of Croatia, Bosnia and Herzegovina and Montenegro, and raise awareness of the potential and importance of valorization of cultural heritage as a generator of cultural tourism development. Therefore, the strategically important goal of the project is to strengthen networking and cooperation among the managers of the established heritage in the cross-border area through the launch of a new joint initiative - a cross-border cultural event called Night of Fortresses.
Night of Fortresses is the first annual cultural and tourist event to be held on established cultural heritage monuments (fortresses, forts, castles...) in Croatia, Montenegro and Bosnia and Herzegovina - three countries covered by program area Interreg IPA CBC HR-BA-ME.
The first edition of the regional cultural event Noć tvrđava - Night of Fortresses will be held on 29th/30th April 2022.
The organizers of this unique event are partners in the project FORTITUDE: Fortress of Culture Šibenik, City of Banja Luka, Municipality of Herceg Novi, City of Karlovac and Municipality of Bar.
